Despite the fact that the year is only halfway over, Microsoft has announced the nominees for the 2014 Xbox 360 Game Awards.

Fans can vote in nine different categories, ranging from “favorite hero” to “favorite game add-on” on their Xbox consoles. Voting is now underway and will continue until June 3. Voters can cast one ballot per day in all nine categories. The winners will be announced on June 5 via Xbox.com and Xbox consoles.

In previous years, Microsoft has only given awards and nominations to Xbox Live Arcade games, but they’ve opened up the field to all Xbox 360 games this year, pitting retail smashes like GTA V and BioShock Infinite against downloadable indie titles like World of Tanks and Trials Fusion.

There are some solid nominations on the list, but also some unforgivable snubs. In the category labeled “What game keeps you up all night?” GTA V, World of Tanks, FIFA 15 and NBA 2K14 are the nominees. Trials Fusion, a game that has destroyed my circadian rhythms, raised my blood pressure to dangerous levels and tested the strength of my marriage, is not on the list. This is just plain wrong.

You can check out the full list of nominees on your Xbox console or at Xbox Wire.
