The say that age is only a number. It has also been said that you are only as old as you feel. Both statements are true if you are Bill Guilfoil.

Guilfoil was recently invited to compete for a spot on the 2016 U.S. Olympic Table Tennis team. This is the second invite for the from Fairway, MO, who was a member of the 2012 squad, but did not travel to London for the Olympic Games. The amazing part of Guilfoil's story is not that he is a qualified coach or teacher of the sport, or not that he is equally adept at standard tennis; Guilfoil's most amazing accomplishment is that he received the invite to compete for a spot on the Olympic team at 93-years old.

Guilfoil has been a serious competitor in both sports, playing in two world table tennis championships and and has beem a highly ranked national player. In tennis, he competed for a shot to play at Wimbledon in 1959.
