For those of us who endured Mother Nature's wrath and didn't mind getting a little wet. Okay so we got really wet, we still saw one hell of a show! Sure the rains over the weekend put a damper on most people's plans, but the show must go on! This past weekend on Saturday (09-29-12) at Comanche Nation Casino the number one AC/DC tribute band 'Back In Black' performed live!

Z94, KLAW 101 and My 107.3 FM of Townsquare Media hosted 'Cars & Guitars' our first and hopefully annual car show and concert. We'd like to thank our sponsors Comanche Nation Casino, Lawton Truck & Audio and Coors Light. We couldn't have done it without them. Despite all the rain we still had a good time! Several people brought our their cars, trucks and bikes even with the weather conditions. You can check out all the pictures and winners from the car show here. Some great looking rides and our 'Best in Show' took home $1,500.00

After the car show our concert kicked off with the Southern Journey Band playing a mix of country, red dirt classic and modern rock. They played covers from 3 Doors Down, Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Eric Clapton, Guns N' Roses and more. They also played some original tunes that managed to mix and fuse all their different influences together for a great sound that's unique, but familiar. They're a hybrid of rock and rocking country.

The evening's headliner 'Back In Black' took to the stage next and rocked the crowd with an incredible show! These guys just don't sound like AC/DC they have all the stage moves and theatrics of the band as well.  It was amazing to see, at times you forgot you were watching a tribute band. They played all the favorites and then some. The set included songs from both the Bon Scott era and Brian Johnson and were performed flawlessly. If you were in attendance you witnessed it first hand. These guys almost channel AC/DC in their uncanny ability to perform these songs. If you missed it we're hoping to bring them back to Lawton sometime next Summer, hopefully Mother Nature will have other plans and leave us alone. A big thanks to Michelle for all the photos. Check out 'Back In Black'.
