Comedian Adam Sandler was his typical hilarious self last night (Dec. 12) at the 12-12-12 Concert for Sandy Relief in New York City, bringing much-needed comic relief in the form of 'Sandy, Screw Ya,' a colorful reworking of the Leonard Cohen classic 'Hallelujah.' The song featured racy lyrics about the superstorm and its impact on New York City.

"Hallelujah, Sandy screw ya / We'll get through ya / Cause we're Neeeew Yorkers," he sang in the chorus of the spoof, earning thunderous applause from the audience on hand and getting the Twitterverse buzzing. Lyrics from the tune were soon trending on Twitter. “The bed-bug scare of 2010 / The Lohans getting busted again and again / The mayor's ban on 32-ounce Mountain Dew-yaaa," was an especially popular verse. He was accompanied by 'Letterman' band leader Paul Shaffer on piano for the performance, which you can watch above.
