DimeBash went off without a hitch last night (Dec. 14) at the Key Club in West Hollywood, Calif. Presented by ‘That Metal Show’ hosts Eddie Trunk, Jim Florentine and Don Jamieson, the event boasted some of metal’s most legendary musicians paying tribute to the late Pantera / Damageplan guitarist “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott.

Highlights of the night include ex-Skid Row frontman Sebastian Bach belting out ‘Cowboys From Hell,’ Suicidal Tendencies vocalist Mike Muir’s rendition of ‘F—ing Hostile’ and Disturbed singer David Draiman leading the star-studded band into a cover of the legendary Pantera track ‘Walk.’

Dimebash has a profound history of bringing in metal’s most legendary artists at the last minute, such as original Black Sabbath bassist Geezer Butler. When asked about the 2010 Dimebash, Dimebag’s longtime girlfriend Rita Hansey commented, “When we put the tickets up [for sale], we didn’t even have a lineup, so it was kind of scary putting it together, but just knowing that everybody would come together in [Dimebag's] honor was enough … I think people want it, people wanna remember … I mean, it was a day and a half, or two days before [this year's Dimebash] that [some of the musicians taking part in the event] didn’t even know what songs [they would be] playing yet.”

Performers in this year’s annual Dimebash featured pioneers from all sub-genres of metal:

Tom Morello (Rage Against the Machine)
Jerry Cantrell (Alice in Chains)
David Draiman (Disturbed)
Serj Tankian (System of a Down)
Joey Jordison (Slipknot)
Scott Ian (Anthrax)
Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath)
Rex Brown (ex-Pantera)
John 5 (Rob Zombie)
Duff McKagan (Velvet Revolver, ex-Guns N’ Roses)
Sebastian Bach (Skid Row)
Glenn Hughes (Black Country Communion)
Tim “Ripper” Owens (Yngwie Malmsteen, Dio Disciples, ex-Judas Priest)
Stephen Pearcy (Ratt)
Warren De Martini (Ratt)
Robin McAuley (MSG)

One hundred percent of the proceeds raised at the 2011 DimeBash have been donated to the Ronnie James Dio Stand Up & Shout Cancer Fund.
