You may have been compared to several things throughout your lifetime, but how about a Muppet? You know, the Bert’s vs the Ernie’s, and the Cookie Monster’s vs the Kermit’s? Sound a little strange? Read on to find out which Muppet personality you encompass!Dahlia Lithwick, writer for Slate’s political website, says “the world can be separated into the Chaos Muppets and Order Muppets. Ernie vs Bert. Cookie Monster versus Kermit. Gonzo vs Sam the Eagle. It's the difference between those who are ‘a swirling maelstrom of food crumbs’ and those who are ‘neurotic’ and sometimes resent the responsibility of the world weighing on their felt shoulders."

The theory is based upon the idea that in order to get the right balance between Chaos and Order, everyone – Muppets included – must be in the right life roles. Think about your personal life for a second; is your spouse chaotic or more orderly? Maybe you tend to fight a lot due to the balance being out of whack.  Take another look, what about your workplace dynamics? Do people mesh on an even level or is there tension brewing?

Still confused? Let’s break it down a little further for better understanding. Chaos Muppets are out-of-control, emotional, volatile. Their life is a constant swirling pandemonium of food crumbs, flaming objects, and the letter C. Do you know which Muppets we’re talking about? If you guessed Cookie Monster, Ernie, Grover, Gonzo, and Animal, you are well acquainted with the Chaos Muppets.

On the other end of that spectrum lie the Order Muppets – Bert, Scooter, Sam the Eagle, and Kermit the Frog. These Muppets tend to be anxious, highly disciplined, and averse to surprises.  They take the weight of the world upon themselves, but secretly enjoy that they keep the show running.

Neither type of Muppet is better than the other one; they are balanced to make the world work and can be the key to happy or unhappy relationships. With that being said, which Muppet personality type are you?
