The 2013 Armed Forces Day parade is this Saturday, May 18th at 10:00 a.m.

This gives people not only from Lawton / Ft. Sill, but from all over the state and nation, an opportunity to come out and enjoy the country's largest parade honoring our Armed Forces.

The parade will commence at 1000 hours starting at 6th Street and C Avenue, proceeding West on C Avenue to SW 11th Street. Here the parade will turn to the north, crossing over Gore Boulevard continuing on to NW Fort Sill Boulevard to NW Ferris Boulevard, there it will turn back to the east. The parade will proceed down Ferris until it reaches the entrance of Elmer Thomas Park where the parade will end.

More details can be found on the Lawton Fort Sill Chamber website.

We encourage you all to come out and show your support of our brave American's that put their lives on the line for us 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year long. Saluting you proudly! Thank you for your service.

I found a vintage clip of the Armed Forces Day Parade from 1964 which you can see here.
