This is a prime example of why you should fish your bait all the way to the boat!

Out of nowhere, as this angler was about to lift his trusty spinner out of the water, a very respectable 6-7lb largemouth decided that spinner was too much to resist. The intensity is the real shocker. Fish are fun, and you don't have to spend hundreds on lures. Plastic worms and tubes do it for me. Occasionally a spinner, but there's nothing like the morning rush sweeping a buzz bait across the water.

If you're going to spend money on your fishing hobby, spend it where it counts. The rod, reel, and line. Every man needs 3 setups. One for heavy lures, one for light, and a spinning reel for finesse and distance casting. Once you know the difference between the different rod weights and flexibilities, you'll never have another 'birds nest' backlash again.
