My husband David and I live on "The Mace Place" and raise cattle for show. We both enjoy the country life but just wish that once in awhile we could get pizza delivery! We have no children unless you count our fur baby Rowdy. He's a red heeler/blue heeler mix and he definitely lives up to his name! Two cats; Tigger and Piglet, that I've had since I started in radio. They are barn cats but still spoiled rotten. They bring the occasional "present" to me and leave it at the back step! (Nice!) Calving season is my favorite season and you can see a lot of my pictures on my Flickr account. http://flickr/photos/njmace

Yep, you read the headline right. Thanks to a TSA agent in St. Louis, the world is a much safer place after she disarmed Rooster Monkburn in what I'm sure was a stand off at the Missouri airport.

Anonymous Woman Makes Ill-Timed Selfie
Emergency workers were all over the Brooklyn Bridge the other day, trying to talk down a suicidal man poised to jump. Media people were everywhere, doing their usual sensitive storytelling. A big chunk of the city was holding its breath, waiting to see how the life-and-death drama plays out. Perfect time for a selfie, right?

Did You Get The Bread and Milk?
I guess because I was born in a northern state, South Dakota to be exact, I don't understand why Lawtonian's completely FREAK OUT when the weather forecast calls for a little snow or cold. If you check the grocery store shelves at this very moment I guarantee there is not one loaf of bread or one gallon of 2% milk left on the shelves because we MIGHT get snow later this week.

Is This The Best or Worst Letter to Santa
When we were little, my siblings and I all sat with the Sears catalog and circled everything we wanted in crayon. We would all choose different colors so Santa would know which one wanted each item. We might even tear the page out and actually mail it to him. A friend told me his daughters wanted Santa's phone number so they could "text" their list to Santa (that is the age we live in).
