Behemoth have just released some more awesomeness from their landmark 2014 album, The Satanist. After issuing stunning music videos for "Blow Your Trumpets Gabriel" and "Ora Pro Nobis Lucifer," the Polish extreme metal act has a new offering for "Messe Noire."

The Satanist was one of the definitive records of 2014. We even named Behemoth's 10th full-length as the Best Metal Album of 2014, so you can correctly assume we're pumped for a new music video.

"Messe Noire" tells a story as old as time itself -- the descent of Lucifer from Heaven down into the pits of Hell. Behemoth chose director Zev Deans for the clip after watching the man's brilliant 2013 video for Portal's "Curtain."

"It was actually our drummer Inferno's idea to use Zev Deans," says Behemoth frontman Nergal. "He showed me a Portal video that literally blew my f---in' mind! For a long time we've attempted to reach a new ground and artistically leave the comfort zone. The Satanist is THE record that challenges us on so many levels… and here we are, exploring new grounds with a video producer who is a genuine visionary! 'Messe Noire' video surely adds new quality to our art and makes it even more transcendental… I am proud!"

Zev Deans adds, "The story of Lucifer's fall, followed by his defiant rebirth, reminds me of Nergal's own personal struggles of recent years. Like Lucifer, Behemoth has recovered from hardship, and they are stronger than ever. With 'Messe Noire,' I was lucky enough to work with some of the most talented people in the genre. I owe the success of this project to the intense SACRIFICE that Sharon and the rest of team gave to this work."
