The highly anticipated World of Warcraft expansion, Warlords of Draenor was recently released and with it came many technical issues that Blizzard is continuing to tackle.

Warlords of Draenor brought back many of World of Warcraft's players that were bored with the game which hadn't had a new expansion since late 2012. With all the players that it brought back, Blizzard was having a bit of a problem with log-in queues. There were also many gameplay issues that Nethaera, Blizzard's Community Manager, reported the Blizzard team "worked around the clock to tackle the demand issues and technical challenges". While things started to look better this past Saturday, Blizzard is still implementing changes to continue to fix the problems that arose on launch day.

One of the first things that Blizzard did was apologize profusely to its players. If that's not enough for you and you want to see some real changes, Blizzard also implemented a fix for log-in queues in that it doubled the capacity of all realms. Blizzard hoping that this will "greatly reduce times for most realms if not eliminate queues altogether." In addition, Blizzard is also giving each player five days worth of extra time to their subscriptions if they are in the Americas, Oceania, or Europe as long as they were active on Nov. 14.

Nethaera closed the post by once again sincerely apologizing to players and thanking them for their continued patience and support.
