Don't worry, Breaking Benjamin fans, you won't be waiting six years for a new album like last time. The band has set Ember as the successor to 2015's chart-topper Dark Before Dawn and just dropped the album's first single, "Red Cold River."

As highlighted in the 30-second teaser clip shared by Breaking Benjamin earlier this week, the song entertains opposing sonic facets with lunging, low-slung rhythms juxtaposed by soaring atmospheric moments. Frontman Ben Burnley unleashes a series of primal roars, washing it away with an ear-fetching chorus as he emotionally delivers the lines, "I can't feel anything at all / this life has left me cold and down."

Breaking Benjamin will embark on a month-long tour supporting Avenged Sevenfold starting Jan. 12. Bullet for My Valentine has been tapped as the opening act for the run and you can go here to see a list of all the upcoming stops.

When we spoke to Avenged Sevenfold's Synyster Gates, he commented on the trek, stating, "We've been friends with these guys for a long time. Bullet for My Valentine, we're bros. We've been in the trenches with those guys. My god, the fact that both bands are still around blows my fucking mind. They're the coolest dudes and obviously we're super fans of the music and the genres make sense. Breaking Benjamin, talk about songwriting, I mean, some of the greatest songwriters of the modern era. And, obviously it's a little heavier. So to bring a pretty unique package you got super heavy, then there's us and whatever the fuck that is and then really super strong songwriting through that hard rock filter."
