This new trailer for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare details the game’s single-player campaign, setting up the events, organizations and individuals that helped create the game’s world.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's latest trailer tackles some real-world issues like private military companies and their lack of accountability. After a devastating set of coordinated, nuclear attacks by terrorists across five continents, the world is thrown into chaos, with entire governments and national armies being crippled. The only defense against the terrorist threat is Atlas, a massive private military corporation headed by Jonathan Irons (played Kevin Spacey), that answers to no government. The trailer illustrates the inherent danger in unchecked power. It also portrays Spacey’s character as an egomaniac, making the chilling statement, “ideas don’t determine who’s right. Power determines who’s right. And I have the power… so I’m right!”

Several intriguing gameplay elements are shown in the trailer, including a wrist-mounted grappling wire that allows quick, vertical movement, a 'Predator'-inspired stealth camouflage and a jet pack that lets players boost their jumps and even fly.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare is scheduled for a November 4 release on Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3 and PC. The very end of the video lets us know that we will get a sneak peek at the game’s multiplayer on August 11, so make sure to check back with us to check out Advanced Warfare's online components.

We really hope this Call of Duty gets it gun sound effects right, like we did in this 5x5 video:
