It's finally here! Treyarch and Activision have released their fourth and final DLC (Downloadable Content) ‘Apocalypse’ for Call of Duty: Black Ops II. The new map pack is available for Xbox 360 with Ps3, Wii and P.C. to follow.

Apocalypse’ features two all new multi-player maps Frost and Pod along with two re-imagined versions of the fan favorites Courtyard and Stadium. These classic maps have been freshened up and redesigned, so get ready for Dig and Takeoff! PLUS there’s an all new zombie campaign with ‘Origins’.

I spent some quality time behind the controller yesterday (08-27-13) playing the new maps and zombie mode. I have to say I was a little disappointed in a final DLC release that included two maps that are basically old maps, just cosmetically re-designed. Even so, it was good playing the old favorites Courtyard and Stadium and seeing all the changes they made to them.

The two new maps Frost and Pod are well designed, I prefer Pod over Frost, but that's just me. They both offer mid-range combat and CQB (close quarter combat) I just like the way Pod plays, especially with objective modes.

One of biggest reasons 'Apocalypse' is worth purchasing is the new zombie campaign, or mode 'Origins'. I'm not a big zombie mode player, but 'Origins' is a must have even for the casual player like myself. It's absolutely incredible, the visual and game play are superb!

Check out the video below for some multi-player gaming on the various maps that are a part of 'Apocalypse' including the zombie mode 'Origins'. We'll see you in game, prepare for WAR!
