As we reported earlier, Trent Reznor is composing the score for the next entry in the popular ‘Call of Duty’ video game franchise. Take a listen to some of the Nine Inch Nails mastermind’s work on ‘Call of Duty: Black Ops II’ below.

Antiquiet brought our attention to the behind-the-scenes video posted on the official ‘Call of Duty’ YouTube page featuring Reznor, screenwriter David S. Goyer, game director Dave Anthony and Treyarch Studios head Mark Lamia. The brief samples of Reznor’s score that can be heard shouldn’t surprise fans who are familiar with his work on ‘The Social Network’ and ‘The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo’ alongside Atticus Ross. The pieces of the score are in the electronic music vein, with foreboding keys, suspenseful drones and more elements that only Reznor could come up with.

“I look at video games as a true art form,” Reznor says in the clip. “A chance to be involved in something like this is exciting to me. I feel it’s every bit as viable as film work or music. The games have gotten more intense, more realistic and more engrossing. Video game culture has expanded into the largest form of entertainment.”

‘Call of Duty: Black Ops II’ is set to be released on Nov. 13 for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, Wii U and PC.
