The new Call of Duty: Ghosts will be released on Tuesday, November 5th 2013 (11-05-13) Once again Infinity Ward and Activision have teamed up to bring gamers another title in the best selling franchise. We’ve been hearing a lot about the new game and wondered for a time if Infinity Ward would continue with the Modern Warfare theme, or change it up.

Earlier last week pictures were leaked of the official ‘Ghosts’ poster, geek boards and gamer forums have been a buzz ever since! Most, including myself, doubted the authenticity of the promo materials and thought it was a hoax. After all MW4 (Modern Warfare 4) was a sure thing, so we thought. We were wrong!

At this time little is known about the new COD title, as a matter of fact due to the leak it wasn’t until Monday (04-29-13) that the official Call of Duty Facebook page or the official Call of Duty site acknowledged ‘Ghosts’. First with vague promo pics, then the new teaser trailer. We now have a few pics or promo photos/posters, the video and release date, but we’re still waiting to get a sneak peak as far as what the actual game play looks like for both campaign and multiplayer. More will be revealed according to game developers on Tuesday, May 21st 2013 (05-21-13)

Call of Duty: Ghosts official reveal date

If that date sounds familiar it should, that’s the date that Microsoft unveils the new Xbox 720 console. Earlier today (05-01-13) I wrote a post that included photos, details and rumors about the new system and a video that shows Microsoft’s IllumiRoom augmented reality peripheral projector. This is going to take the Xbox and Kinect to a whole new level. It’s literally the ‘Next Generation’ of entertainment. Click here to check it out!

You’ve gotta see the “Concept Art” for the Xbox 720 and the rumored features and functions of the new console. So this begs the question “If Microsoft is making their announcement about the new Xbox 720 on May 21st and Infinity Ward and Activision will be a part of it by revealing the new Call of Duty: Ghosts, will the new game be available for the new system?” One can only wonder. I’m hoping it’ll be released for both, or that the new Xbox 720 is backward compatible so we can play older, even more current 360 titles. I guess we’ll find out soon enough, just not soon enough.

In the meantime we have the new teaser trailer for Call of Duty: Ghosts that gives us little in the way of details, but certainly delivers in the way of anticipation. “There are those who wear masks to protect themselves. And there are those who wear masks to protect us all.” Watch the teaser video below:
