The wait is almost over and I've got that entirely too damn excited about to piss myself kinda feeling going on! The new D.L.C "Downloadable Content" for Call Of Duty: MW3 "Collection 1" will be released for Xbox 360 on (03-20-12) with other formats to follow. You'll be able to obtain the new D.L.C / map pack at various game stores by purchasing code cards or just head to the Xbox Live Marketplace to download the new maps and modes by using various payment options including Microsoft Points. The new D.L.C was released first to Call Of Duty Elite Premium members and will finally be available to the rest of us a little later this month. If you can't wait you still have the option of becoming an Elite Premium member to receive all the MW3 content as soon as it comes out. Typically new content is released once a month, sometimes more often and is immediately downloadable via the in game store or through Xbox live. I've resisted becoming an Elite Premium Member, as far as I'm concerned the only real benefit is being first in line for new maps and other content. I'm just not that interested with the other features, which still don't function as promised. Maybe once they get all the bugs worked out and the entire program / platform works like it's supposed to I might sign up. I prefer to purchase new content bundled and selectively. Let's face it not every D.L.C is worth the money, this one on the other hand does. Here's a quick look at what you can expect from the new Call Of Duty: MW3 "Collection 1" D.L.C straight from www.CallOfDuty.com

Redeploying with an arsenal of content unlike any in franchise history, Call of Duty®: Modern Warfare® 3's first downloadable "Collection" arrives stockpiled with not only four Multiplayer/Survival Mode Maps, but two Special Ops Missions – the first time Call of Duty® has ever made Special Ops downloadable online. Armed with just this one content pack, players can choose between heading to a militarized Central Park in "Liberation," destroying scenic vistas in a seaside Italian getaway in "Piazza," raining glass on New York passersby from 70-stories-up in "Overwatch," and battling beside a downed Air Force One in "Black Box." As if that breadth of multiplayer variety wasn't enough, fans of Special Ops can hop aboard snowmobiles to infiltrate a diamond mine in "Black Ice" or head to India, where "Negotiator" will leave the fate of hostages in their hands. In a class of its own with half-a-dozen forms of content, Modern Warfare® 3's first downloadable "Collection" offers a range of combat and co-op the likes of which has never been seen before.

The new maps and modes look great and from what I've seen so far provide a diverse playing field that's accommodating to several different play styles and taste.  Take a  look at 3 of the 4 new multi-player maps from Call Of Duty: MW3 "Collection 1" including: Liberation, Piazza and Overwatch.

We should be getting a glimpse of the 4th map "Black Box" sometime soon. With 4 all new multi-player maps and 2 special ops missions Call Of Duty: MW3 "Collection 1" looks to be one hell of a D.L.C I can't wait until (03-13-12) We're t-minus 19 days away...And counting...
