It has been 20 years since Candlebox released their album Lucy, which went gold and spawned the radio hits "Understanding" and "Simple Lessons." The band is commemorating the record on an upcoming tour that kicks off later this summer. They have also announced a couple lineup changes.

With that news comes word that guitarist Peter Klett and drummer Scott Mercado have decided to take a break from touring with Candlebox and focus on their band Lotus Crush and other projects. Mercado was an original member of the band, and Klett joined in 1991.

"I'm stoked that Pete and Scott are having such great success with Lotus Crush and their other projects," says vocalist Kevin Martin. "I wish them nothing but the best."

Klett adds, "It's time; there is nothing greater than playing music you've created in front of fans who love it with their heart and soul. That is what we have done with Candlebox for 20 plus years. The wonderful people who have embraced us have done it with class. For that, Scott and I are extremely grateful."

The band's current lineup includes Martin, bassist Adam Kury, drummer Dave Krusen (ex-Pearl Jam), guitarist Mike Leslie and guitarist Brian Quinn. Candlebox's latest album Love Stories & Other Musings was released in 2012. They are currently working material for a new album that's scheduled to be released in early 2016.
