James’ Fifty Shades of Grey reached $70 million in sales. The Fifty Shades trilogy joins Harry Potter, Twilight and a few others on the exclusive list of best-selling series of all time.

A successful movie is a wonderful accomplishment. The perfect blend of writing, production, direction and acting that makes the story come alive.

IMDB.com lists 159 acting credits for Samuel L. Jackson over a career that’s spanned more than 40 years. Jackson’s as versatile as he is prolific; though he’s likely best known for his action films and his flair for language (and especially profanity, his skills as a chameleon might be underrated. He’s made 160 films and television shows and looked like 160 wildly different people. Few actors seem to delight in the specifics of costuming, hair, and makeup as much as he does, and few have exhibited a wider array of hairstyles, facial hair, and wardrobes. An afternoon update from our We Swear We’re Not Making This Up Desk: TheWrap reports that Kevin Spacey, Oscar-winner for ‘The Usual Suspects’ and ‘American Beauty,’ will next appear as the star of a comedy called ‘Nine Lives.’ The “high-concept comedy” is described thusly (and, again, we didn’t make this up):

Bill Cosby has stayed mum on the allegations he raped several women, but now video has surfaced in which he tackles the subject. And it's what happened after the interview that's making waves.

“Mrs. Robinson, you’re trying to seduce me...” That is one of the most famous lines from one of the most famous scenes in all of cinema: Dustin Hoffman’s Benjamin trying not to be seduced by Anne Bancroft’s Mrs. Robinson, his father’s partner’s wife in 1967’s ‘The Graduate.’ The film was just the second directed by Mike Nichols, the enterprising comedian turned theater and cinema director, who died Wednesday at the age of 83.

The ongoing firestorm against Bill Cosby has only swelled in recent weeks, as more and more allegations of rape emerge against the once-revered comedian, so it wasn’t any surprise that Netflix would opt to discard the November 28 release of a new Cosby standup special. Now, NBC has expectedly followed suit by abandoning development plans for a new Cosby sitcom for 2015.

So this is why we don't see Johnny Depp on stage very often (ever?) at awards shows. Last night at the Hollywood Film Awards, Depp introduced the documentary ‘Supermensch,’ about legendary talent manager Shep Gordon, and immediately made it pretty clear that he was not sober-minded. “That's the weirdest microphone I've ever seen in my life,” he slurs—except, you know, it's just a regular microphone.

Rocker-turned-filmmaker Rob Zombie has come under fire for a section of his haunted house in Illinois, devoted to serial killer John Wayne Gacy, with Gacy's prosecutors claiming that it's "in terrible taste."
