The 2022 Lawton, Fort Sill 'Freedom Festival' has been announced! This year it will be a 2 day Independence Day bash at Elmer Thomas Park 501 N.W. Ferris Ave. on Friday, July 1st and Saturday, July 2nd (04-01-22 & 04-02-22). It's going to be an all-American, red, white, and blue, star-spangled good time guaranteed!
It seems like it's been forever since we've had Open Streets in Lawton, Fort Sill. Well, good news. It's coming back and will be teaming up with SWOK Trails Fest next month. The BIG EVENT will take place on Friday and Saturday, June 17th and 18th at Elmer Thomas Park located at 501 N.W. Ferris Avenue in Lawton, OK.
Had I only known I would have attended the alligator vigil late last week on Thursday, May 19th (05-19-22) in Claremore, OK. in honor of the late Albert E. Gator. It was a celebration of life and a gator festival all in one!
