Yesterday (04-12-22) U.S. Senator James Lankford (R-OK) announced a new piece of legislation that he'll be introducing called the 'Pistol Brace Protection Act.' The bill would restrict the ATF from reclassifying pistol braces and prevent the agency from future regulation, registration, and taxation of these devices.

More firearm legislation is headed to the Oklahoma House for a vote. House Bill (HB-3069) would grant municipalities the authority to allow city employees to carry concealed firearms while at work or on duty. There's a new Senate bill (SB-1366) that would change and/or amend Oklahoma's firearm laws as it relates to the state's self-defense act and open carry. The new bill was written and introduced by Senator Lonnie Paxton (R-Tuttle, OK.) and seeks to make changes to the language of the self-defense act and the practice of concealed or open carry of firearms in the state.
