The City of Lawton, FISTA Development Trust Authority and the Comanche County Health Department have teamed up to make getting your COVID-19 vaccinations much easier. Starting today (02-22-21) the CCHD (Comanche County Health Department) will be set up in the Central Mall in the old Dillard's location doing COVID-19 vaccinations.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the recent winter storms S.W. Oklahoma is facing a serious, more like critical blood shortage in the state. The OBI (Oklahoma Blood Institute) is asking for your help. Going on today at the Great Plains Coliseum 920 S.W. Sheridan Road from 10:00am until 4:00pm the OBI will be holding a blood drive. All persons are encouraged to donate if at all possible.
Starting tomorrow Friday, February 12th (02-12-21) Walmart and Sam's Club pharmacies in Lawton, Fort Sill will be offering the COVID-19 vaccinations. All state guidelines and COVID-19 vaccination eligibility phases will be followed.

Make plans now to log on and attend the Visioning Meeting for the City of Lawton’s Parks Master Plan scheduled for tomorrow (02-03-21) evening at 6:00pm CST. The virtual meeting is open to the public and the entire community is welcome. The Visioning Meeting will be conducted to openly discuss and offer input on the City's plans going forward as it relates to parks, sports, recreation, trails and open space.. Everyone is strongly encouraged to participate.
Starting tomorrow (01-02-21) at 12:00am the new TSA (Transportation Security Administration) will require all persons using public transportation to wear a face mask. This will include: aircraft, bus, train, boat as well as any other type of public transportation. You'll have to wear a mask both in the terminal and while being a passenger. The mandatory face mask mandate will be in effect from 02-02-21 until 05-11-21 and may be extended depending on how the COVID-19 pandemic is going.
