Is it Time to do Away With Daylight Savings Time?
Not this Sunday but next Sunday (03-14-21) is daylight savings time. We'll be springing forward an hour and losing another hour of sleep, oh' boy. The older I get the more I hate daylight savings time. It seems like it takes me a few days to re-adjust to the new time and to be completely honest, I hate having to run around the house and change all the clocks. Not to mention trying to remember how to re-set the time in the vehicles.
Oklahoma to Become 2nd Amendment Sanctuary State?
Oklahoma to Become 2nd Amendment Sanctuary State?
Oklahoma to Become 2nd Amendment Sanctuary State?
Oklahoma could become the next entry into the growing list of 2nd Amendment sanctuary states. Across the country more and more states are introducing legislation to uphold the 2nd Amendment and refuse any additional gun control measures from Federal, state, county and even local governments. This would mean that the state of Oklahoma wouldn't adhere to, or enforce, any new gun control measures such as bans, buy backs, capacity limits or other restrictions that may be introduced in the future.

Oklahoma Working to Pass Bills Making It Illegal to Publish Photos or Videos of Law Enforcement
Yesterday (02-24-21) Oklahoma legislators passed another bill, HB 2273. It's a companion bill to SB 6 which passed the Oklahoma State Senate earlier. Both bills would make it illegal to photograph or video law enforcement and publish it on an online site, forum or social media platform. There's been a lot of confusion and concern with the two bills as you can imagine. So what exactly will the new law(s) do and what are the penalties be for violating the law(s)? Also, if this does become law when will it take effect?

The war rages on as the battle of the birds continues. It's a strongly debated argument that's been going on for years now, "Which fast food place has the best chicken sandwich?" It seems every day there's a new one being hatched and another restaurant adding to the menu their take on the chicken sandwich.

Happy National Pizza Day!
Today's the day, happy National Pizza Day! In my honest, humble, non-bias opinion everyday should be pizza day. It's one of the most popular foods in the U.S. and for good reason. Pizza is the perfect cuisine. You basically get all your major food groups in a handy, no silverware needed, ready to eat slice. Plus there's a never ending variety of pizza available, so no matter your taste there's a pie that's perfect for you.

What are Your Favorite Snacks for the Big Game?
This weekend I'm looking forward to spending a little quality time in front of the big screen in the recliner with drink and snacks in hand. This Sunday is the BIG GAME and even though I won't have all the family and friends over to the house thanks to COVID-19, I'm still planning on making TONS of food and snacks for the few of us that will be watching the game. The pandemic has really screwed up this years party just like everything else it's screwed up, but we'll just have to make the best of it.

Oklahoma Ranks In The Top 20 For Most Firearms Purchased in 2020
Oklahoma has ranked in the top 20 for the most firearms purchased in 2020. An historic number of firearms were bought and sold last year, more so than any other year in history. We're talking about roughly 21 million plus firearms according to the totals provided by the most recent FBI data and NICS (National Instant Criminal Background Check System). The next highest year for gun sales was set back in 2016 at close to 16 million. The spike was caused primarily due to the possibility of further gun control efforts by the Federal Government including an assault weapons and high capacity magazine ban.

We hopefully only have a few more weeks, maybe a month tops, where it's really cold outside so times running out to appreciate those cold weather dishes and comfort foods.

Walmart Is Going Full Self Check Out in 2021?
If you haven't seen or heard the news yet, the big debate online is all about Walmart and the possibility that they'll be going full self check out or "Scan & Go" by the end of 2021. That's right, there could be a time and real soon that you go to Walmart and there's no cashiers or manned check out lanes anymore. The rumor is maybe as soon as April of this year, however no official word has come down from Walmart quite yet.

Oklahoma Could Make Masks Mandatory Statewide!
Oklahoma Democratic State Rep. Jason Lowe has just introduced a new bill. HB 2192 which is being called the "COVID-19 Save Lives Response Act" would make face masks mandatory throughout the state in every county and every town. It would also limit the number of people to 10 total at all nonessential gatherings. There's also a $1,000.00 fine associated with non-compliance to certain mandates listed within the new bill. This is all in response to the state's increasing number of positive COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations.

The Tiger King himself, King Joe Exotic could be pardoned by President Trump in his final days in office. The legal team surrounding and representing Joseph Allen Maldonado-Passage A.K.A. Joe Exotic is "confidant" that he'll be pardoned. Late last year they reached out to the President asking for a pardon, it's looking like it may just happen. A Limo and hairdresser are standing by waiting for the final decision. Joe Exotic didn't want anyone to see him until he had a chance to do his hair and makeup.
