Seth MacFarlane is seemingly Hollywood's busiest man. Not only does he have a block of animated programing on the Fox network, he just made the smash hit 'Ted,' is about to host the Oscars, and has at least two movies in the works. Though there was word that 'Ted 2' would be filming shortly, it looks like his comic Western 'A Million Ways to Die in the West' is coming first, and will be co-starring Charlize Theron.

The Hollywood Reporter has broken that Theron is in final talks for the comic western, which is being compared to 'Blazing Saddles.' Whoever started this comparison must not like MacFarlane as that's a high bar to clear (It would be better if they said "A better version of "Rustlers' Rhapsody.'") THR also offered a plot summary, they say the film:

follows a sheepish farmer who chickens out of a gunfight and sees his girlfriend leave him. When he meets the wife of a notorious outlaw who offers to teach him how to shoot, the farmer at first sees a chance to win back his love but slowly falls for the woman. Complications ensue when the outlaw returns and reclaims his woman.

Theron would then be playing the outlaw's lady friend. With a May production start listed, the film will likely be due out in the summer of 2014. And like last summer, when Theron had 'Snow White and the Huntsman' and 'Prometheus' come out weeks apart, we wouldn't be surprised if this hits right around the same time as 'Mad Max: Fury Road,' which also co-stars Theron.
