The 2012 NHL lockout is only about a week underway, but singer/songwriter Vicki Shae of Winnipeg-based radio station QX 104 already has a song ready to mend the broken hearts of fans everywhere. And it's a nifty parody of Taylor Swift's 'We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together' to boot. Nothing lessens the sting of a painful labor dispute more than a heartfelt breakup tune, right?

Shae, along with friends and coworkers, reportedly wrote the song, filmed the video and posted it to YouTube a little more than a day after the lockout began. Since then, it's racked up more than 140,000 views.

In the video, Shae lounges in bed with a framed picture of NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, who some fans squarely blame for the lockout. This is, by the way, the third labor dispute since Bettman took over in 1993.

Still, Shae also has a photo of Pittsburgh Penguins player Sidney Crosby to drool over as she does her best to stave off lockout-related depression. In the end, however, she accepts the fate of her beloved sport and sits down to a tub of ice cream while tears and mascara stream down her face.

As a parody, Shae's song is pretty catchy and incisive at the same time. Plus, it informed us there was a dispute in the first place. After all, who really follows hockey?
