And here we were just counting our blessings that we get a new 'Godzilla' movie, featuring the legendary giant, stomping lizard monster. But as we learned at the 'Godzilla' Comic-Con panel today, we're getting multiple monsters for the price of one -- and one monster in particular will look very familiar to fans of the classic films.

During the 'Godzilla' panel at Comic-Con today, director Gareth Edwards and stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen and Bryan Cranston debuted the first actual teaser from the upcoming film, which, as they noted, only finished filming in Canada two days ago. Edwards previously helmed the indie sci-fi flick 'Monsters' (and did all of the effects for that film himself on his own laptop), so he knows a thing or two about making monster movies.

But the biggest surprise in the footage was the reveal that our scaly buddy won't be the only monster on the big screen -- during the teaser, a big monster who looked similar to Mothra (one of Godzilla's classic foes) appeared and started wreaking havoc before Godzilla himself entered the picture and put that mysterious monster in his place.

'Godzilla' stomps into theaters on May 16, 2014. For more, check out our coverage of the panel.
