More good news from the Converge camp. The noisy Massachusetts metal monoliths have been busy working on their next studio album, which is possibly due this fall and is certainly one of our most anticipated albums of 2012. They will keep busy during the spring by hitting the road for a quick trip through North America. Perhaps the band will use this short, tightly routed, two-week trek, which kicks off in April, to debut some of the material it’s currently working on? Wouldn’t that be a treat?

The tour has a variety of openers with interesting names like Loma Prieta, Git Some, Ringworm, Deafheaven, Burning Love, Pianos Become the Teeth and Weekend Nachos. If you’ve not yet been exposed to some of these bands and if you like to discover emerging or underground talent, why not do it while you see Converge? It’s a win-win.
