Cosplay of the Day: Doctor Strange Gets a Makeover

We've got yet another gender-bending cosplay for you guys today -- this time, Marvel's infamous Doctor Strange gets the feminine treatment courtesy of this lovely lady cosplayer.

Jennifer Van Damsel is a comic book fan living in Houston, Texas, who only recently entered into the world of cosplaying -- and for someone who's new to making her own costumes, Jennifer is pretty damn great at it. Among her cosplays are Zatanna, Catwoman and Harley Quinn, which are all pretty classic go-to costumes for female fans, but it's another classic character that caught our eye. Jennifer's cosplay of Doctor Strange is bright and colorful and captures the vintage vibe of one of Marvel's most famous characters.

Doctor Strange is a former neurosurgeon and a sorcerer who serves as the Sorcerer Supreme, who protects Earth from evil magical forces. A skilled surgeon who had his hands damaged in an accident, Doctor Strange went on a quest to heal himself and was granted some of the most potent mystical powers in the universe.
