As Cradle of Filth fans continue to consume the eight reissues released throughout July, there is still one question on their minds: When is the next Cradle of Filth album coming out? Fortunately for you, your question has been answered.

Out just in time to celebrate Halloween, Cradle of Filth’s 10th studio album, ‘The Manticore & Other Horrors,’ drops on Oct. 30. “This is our 10th commandment in metal,” frontman Dani Filth says. “We have diversified and kept alive the spirit of this band and breathed it into something that I can proudly say, slays like an absolute motherf—er.”

According to the band, this latest endeavor was recorded in eight weeks and “[reeks] of Cradle’s brand of delicious metal vamperotica.” The album takes the band to a new level by incorporating a heavier and faster punk vibe, while still keeping the orchestration of the UK metal act’s 2000 release, ‘Midian.’

What does the title mean? As the band puts it, “The album’s title can be likened to a bestiary, a collection of stories on monsters – personal demons, Chimeras, literary fiends and world-enslaving entities to blame but a few.” The complete track-listing hasn’t been released, but rest assured the album conveys a sense of grimness, vampirism and wickedness.

For all of you European fans, Cradle of Filth will be hitting the road in November and December. Stay tuned for more news on the new album.
