As has been the trend the last few years, at least one day of Rocklahoma is getting a slight severe weather delay.

2013 and prior, festival goers mostly experienced extremely hot, dry, and dusty conditions. 2014, rain delayed us on day two for an hour or so, then turned the day extremely hot and humid. 2015 saw record breaking precipitation all weekend, and a slew of severe storms that forced Volbeat and Linkin Park to forego their performances.

Here we are in 2016. In the weeks leading to the 10th Anniversary 'Party in Pryor,' we checked the forecast daily, continually seeing a bleak outlook for Memorial Day Weekend. Even as we traveled up on Thursday, the forecast still predicted three days of severe storms.

Luckily, when Friday rolled around, that forecast turned to mostly overcast and dry. Saturday did the same thing. But Sunday currently has a few thunderstorms looming over the festival grounds.

As Eddie Trunk took the stage, big lightning showed, and heavy thunder hit as he advised the crowd to take cover in their cars and campsites. Of course, about half the current bodies stayed behind, Okies don't run from storms, but event security eventually corralled the masses towards the entry gates.

As it sits, as of 6:50PM, these slow moving storms are still bogarting all of Sundays fun at Rocklahoma.
