Though only a few months removed from the series finale and intensely divisive final season, 'Dexter' will have us back on the table before long. Netflix has announced that the first four seasons will be available to stream on the site beginning this upcoming Halloween Thursday, with the final four seasons to follow shortly thereafter in 2014.

Yes, it seems Netflix will provide us with true horror this Halloween, watching an otherwise-promising cable drama through its first four seasons, just before things went so horribly, horribly wrong. "We're thrilled to have 'Dexter,' one of Showtime's highest-rated shows, on Netflix, and so quickly after it completed its record-breaking run," sad Netflix Chief Content Officer Ted Sarandos. "This is one of the great serialized dramas of the past decade and we know our members will enjoy discovering or reliving the twisted world of Dexter Morgan anywhere and anytime they want."

For reasons unknown, seasons 5-8 won't appear on Netflix until January 1, though most fans of the series would argue only season 7 to be worthy of the bunch. Some years prior, Netflix maintained the first two seasons of 'Dexter' available to stream, but eventually recalled them for shifting rights issues.

What say you? Are you apt to catch up with 'Dexter' this Halloween, or has it not been long enough since washing out the taste of the series finale, "Remember the Monsters"?
