Japanese metal band Dir En Grey were set to head out on the road in support of their latest album ‘Dum Spiro Spero,’ but unfortunately they have to cancel the trek due to frontman Kyo’s throat condition.

After much examination of Kyo’s vocal cords, his physician recommended that he not tour. As a result, Dir En Grey made the decision to withdraw their involvement in The Still Reckless Tour as well as their solo shows in March and April of this year.

The band released this statement: “To our fans as well as the other bands and staff involved in the tour we extend our sincere apologies. We ask for your understanding that this was an extremely difficult decision to make. Thank you all for your continued support, which is deeply appreciated.”

“The Still Reckless Tour” also features acts Asking Alexandria, Trivium, I See Stars, Motionless in White and The Amity Affliction. For a full list of dates, go here.
