Earlier this year, Indaba Music, a networking website for musicians, sponsored a contest whereby aspiring producers were tasked with remixing 'Up All Night,' the most recent single from the SoCal reggae-pop band the Dirty Heads. Top honors went to 17-year-old Jaeger Rydall, a fellow Californian who turned the Heads' breezy original into something far bassier and dubbier.

For his troubles, Rydall picked up $1,000 and a pair of Marley headphones -- not a bad haul. Perhaps more importantly, he earned himself some exposure on websites like this one. Download his 'Up All Night' remix below, and if you like what he did with the tune, check out his Soundcloud page for more examples of his work.

"Check out the winning remix -- that absolutely blew us away and had us hitting repeat -- by Jaeger," Jared Watson of the Dirty Heads told Diffuser.fm. "Thanks to everyone for all the entries. There were a lot of good ones. It was cool hearing what people did to our song, and to hear what other creative musical minds can do with something you've created. Congrats again to Jaeger."
