Who won? Who lost? Who got robbed? Who surprised us? Read on, because here are all the nominees and winners for The Game Awards 2014.

Thanks to GameSpot, we have learned all the nominees and winners of The Game Awards 2014. Some of these names surprised us, and some of them didn't.

Game of the Year is almost no competition -- anyone who played Dragon Age: Inquisition knows that it was way beyond the other four quality titles next to it. There should have been another game nominated for Game of The Year instead of Dark Souls II (cough-INFAMOUS-cough), but we'll get into that soon.

The Best Indie Game was a tough call between Shovel Knight and Broken Age -- it honestly could have gone either way because of how good both games were. The Best Narrative went to the well-deserved Valiant Hearts. Wolfenstein had a great chance, especially at how it broke down the fourth wall with its dialogue and reconstructed the franchise's lore, but we guess that it and South Park were just too over-the-top compared to Valiant Hearts' captivating and serious nature.

Trey Parker winning the Best Performance (for voice acting) against such other talented actors and actresses is impressive (Trey Parker beat Kevin Spacey for an acting award?), but considering he voices a majority of the South Park characters, you can't refute his amazing accomplishment with The Stick of Truth. In terms of the Best Remastered Game, it could have gone either way to The Last of Us or Grand Theft Auto V, but GTA added a lot of new content (and its first-person mode is absolutely amazing) compared to Naughty Dog's re-release. We're glad to see Super Smash Bros. and Mario Kart 8 win a lot for Nintendo. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U should have been a contender for Game of the Year instead of Dark Souls II or Hearthstone.

Our biggest gripe with the winners would have to be Destiny winning the award for the Best Online Experience. Did they play the same game we did? Sorry, Bungie, but there's still a plethora of things to fix and add to Destiny's online features. World of Warcraft: Warlords of Draenor should have been in some of these categories (especially Best Online Experience and Best Role-Playing Game), and we were rather let down to see it was not. Lastly, Super Smash Bros. for Wii U should have taken Dark Souls II's spot in its nomination for Game of the Year.
