BioWare has posted an in-depth look at how you can customize your characters and craft gear and items in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

This new gameplay video for Dragon Age: Inquisition focuses on player/party customization as well as the game's item-crafting system. You will be able to find herbs, minerals and other ingredients out in the wild that your craftsmen will be able to use to make potions, traps, poisons and even gear. Watching the Inquisitor make a special grenade filled with bees resulted in an awesome effect once it was thrown onto an unsuspecting enemy. The melee attacks and skills of your Inquisitor and his or her group members will be based upon the weapon each person has equipped. Obviously, this puts an even bigger focus on finding the best gear to outfit your team, so make sure you keep an eye out for new weapons and gear as you get through each dungeon.

BioWare has learned from the complaints of Dragon Age II that players want to see the visible changes whenever you update a warrior with a new weapon or piece of armor. Now, your characters will be seen wearing whatever you have equipped on them, which will change based on the next piece of gear you equip. This visual effect translates over to cutscenes and dialogue sequences as well.

Dragon Age: Inquisition launches Nov. 18 on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Better hope you can craft a love potion in Dragon Age: Inquisition.
