Many wallets cried and internet forums sang praises of the announcements and reveals for E3 2015. The conferences started strong and just got weaker as each new press event took the stage.

So how did Microsoft, Sony and Nintendo do in this year's conferences? Let us review.

Microsoft came out with first party exclusives and announced an upcoming backwards compatibility update for the Xbox One which took many people in the crowd by surprise. One hundred titles are expected to be backwards compatible beginning in Holiday 2015 with more to be added to the list later next year. Of course, who could forget the Hololens, that piece of hardware was amazing and we can expect more demos and reveals of the device in action in the upcoming months showcasing more of it's capabilities.

Where Microsoft focused on first party exclusives, Sony split their focus between first and third party content. Showcasing new and current IPs and exclusive content on third party titles that can only be found on Playstation. What perhaps surprised many people was the allegiance switch with Call of Duty as they announced a DLC-exclusivity plan during the Sony conference. Then you had the announcement that broke the entire internet.

In 2005 a tech demo which featured the intro scene in Final Fantasy 7 was unveiled to show the graphical power of the PS3 which then had fans hungering for a remake of the classic RPG. Now, Square Enix has announced that a full HD remake is in development that that more details will be announced in winter 2015.

Then there was Nintendo which started strong but just deteriorated as their presentation went on. First was the announcement of the new Star Fox: Zero which is expected to be released later this year. A trailer for the next entry in the Fire Emblem series was also showcased and then it took a turn for the weird. A new Zelda title which doesn't look appealing, a new Metroid game that stars mini robots and a new Animal Crossing that's a party game and also looks to be Amiibo dependent.

Nintendo still had some highlights though despite a weak conference. They had a another conference during the Nintendo World Championships where they unveiled two new characters coming to Super Smash Bros. A new Nintendo 3DS model that will allow you to play Wii U games on the go (similar to Sony's Playstation Vita which allows you to play PS3 and PS4 mobilly.) Mario Maker which will allow fans of the plumbers of Mushroom Kingdom create their own custom Mario levels and share it with friends and play other's creations.

The 2015 lineup seems to be excellent, much better than the 2014 conference which was hyping the 2015 year. Now here is hoping that this year's game don't come out buggy, glitchy and almost unplayable.
