When San Francisco Giant second baseman Joe Panik went on the disabled list this Monday, the Giants didn't...panic that is! The Giants simply added former Elgin Owl Kelby Tomlinson to their roster on Monday to replace Panik. Tomlinson made the most of the opportunity, with a pinch-hit single off of Atlanta Brave's reliever Ross Detwiler and then scoring the go-ahead run in the top of the 12th inning Monday night.

The best part of the evening was the fact that Kelby's wife, Tiffany and her father were at the game and got to share in Tomlinson's triumphant debut. The support team made it to San Francisco right before game time and were there to see the biggest hit of Kelby's career.
