ESPN and Hank Williams Jr. have parted ways and both agree to disagree on who broke up with who. Both sides have come out with statements and said that they broke it off with the other one, after 22 years the Hank Williams Jr. and ESPN marriage is over. ESPN has put out a statement saying " We have decided to part ways with Hank Williams, Jr. We appreciate his contributions over the past years. The success of Monday Night Football has always been about the games and that will continue." while Hank Williams Jr. put out a statement saying " After reading hundreds of e-mails, I have made MY decision. By pulling my opening Oct 3rd, You (ESPN) stepped on the Toes of The First Amendment Freedom of Speech, so therefore Me, My Song, and All My Rowdy Friends are OUT OF HERE. It's been a great run." I have tracked down the original Interview from Fox And Friends.

Here is the video, listen very carefully to what Hank Jr. says.

I think that he was using an analogy.  Maybe not the best analogy but an analogy none the less.  He didn't "compare" Obama to Hitler he said "IT (referring to the golf match up) would be like Hitler playing golf with Netanyahu"  "they are enemies" referring to Democrats and Republicans in general.  Even the Fox reporter Brian Kilmeade said "I don't understand that analogy."

Do me a favor and LISTEN to the entire interview.  Then, let me know what you think.  Was ESPN justified in firing Williams or do you think they caved to peer pressure?
