Students are divided by each school and gender from 1st through 5th Grades; and compete in events like: 30 to 100 Yard Sprints, Softball Throw, Standing and Running Long Jumps. Winners in each event receive gold, silver and bronze medals, but all competitors receive participation ribbons. Points are accumulated for winners from each elementary school, with trophies being awarded to the schools that won the most events. This year, in conjunction with the meet, there will be the 1st Annual Kid’s Health Expo. This fun-filled event will not only get many students interested in track for the first time, it will also increase health awareness amongst the family and youth attending.
