SUMMARY:IHOP NATIONAL PANCAKE DAY CELEBRATION
DESCRIPTION:FREE BUTTERMILK PANCAKES ON MARCH 1 AT IHOP National Pancake Day Celebration To Benefit Local Shriners Hospitals WHAT: In celebration of National Pancake Day\, IHOP restaurants nationwide will offer each guest a free short stack of buttermilk pancakes in an effort to raise awareness and funds for Shriners Hospitals and other local charities. This year\, IHOP is hoping to stack up more donations than ever before\, with a goal to raise $2.3 million\, for a total of more than $7.65 million six years with its National Pancake Day fundraising effort. To find a local IHOP or to donate online\, visit www.ihoppancakeday.com. WHY: For every delicious short stack of buttermilk pancakes served on National Pancake Day\, IHOP guests are invited to make a donation to Shriners Hospitals. Donations made at IHOPs in the Wichita Falls area will benefit local Shriners Hospitals. WHEN: TUESDAY\, March 1\, 2011\, 7 a.m. – 10 p.m. WHERE: Participating IHOP restaurants nationwide. National Pancake Day Fun Facts: IHOP served four million free pancakes on National Pancake Day 2010 and pancake lovers donated more than $2.1 million to children’s charities\, far exceeding the fundraising goal. All of the free pancakes served on National Pancake Day 2010 would have created a stack more than 31.5 miles high. Since the inception of National Pancake Day in 2006\, IHOP has raised more than $5.35 million and given away more than 10.1 million pancakes to support charities in the communities in which it operates. National Pancake Day 2010 was IHOP’s largest one-day event in the company’s 52-year history. ABOUT IHOP For 52 years\, the IHOP family restaurant chain has served its world famous pancakes and a wide variety of breakfast\, lunch and dinner items that are loved by people of all ages. IHOP offers its guests an affordable\, everyday dining experience with warm and friendly service. The first IHOP opened in Toluca Lake\, Calif. in 1958\, and as of June 30\, 2010\, there were 1\,476 IHOPs in 50 states and the District of Columbia\, Canada\, Mexico\, Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands. IHOP restaurants are franchised and operated by Glendale\, Calif.-based International House of Pancakes\, LLC and its affiliates. International House of Pancakes\, LLC is a wholly-owned subsidiary of DineEquity\, Inc. (NYSE: DIN). ### Editors Note: Pancake Day is a tradition that dates back several centuries to when the English prepped for fasting during Lent. Strict rules prohibited the eating of all dairy products during Lent\, so pancakes were made to use up the supply of eggs\, milk\, butter and other dairy products…hence the name Pancake Tuesday\, or Shrove Tuesday. In 2011\, IHOP’s National Pancake Day will come one week early\, as the popular annual campaign has evolved into a month-long celebration that takes place during the month of February. It will culminate with the free flapjack giveaway on March 1. 450 N. Brand Boulevard • 7th Floor • Glendale\, CA 91203-4415 • Phone: (818) 240-6055

SUMMARY:Celebration in Memory of Drake Scholtz Blood Drive
DESCRIPTION:[caption id="attachment_88019" align="aligncenter" width="630" caption="Fabien Odin Drake Lynn Scholtz"][/caption] Faybien Odin Drake Lynn Scholtz entered this world on February 2\, 2010 and joined his big brother and grandparents in Heaven on August 3\, 2011. During his short time with us\, he brought us great joy. He was our little dragon. We called him Drake the dragonhearted. He loved to swim\, play with his siblings\, cousins\, and friends. He loved his Kelsey and LaLa who cared for him during the day. He almost always had a smile on his face\, and could make us smile even on our worst days. He arrived shortly after we lost his grandparents and provided light to our family during a very dark time. He touched the lives of so many during his 18 months on Earth and now he is our guardian dragon angel. A blood drive will be held in Drake's honor and memory on Friday\, August 3rd from 11am to 3pm at the Oklahoma Blood Institute in Lawton at 2nd and A. Donors will receive a pass for 2 to the Oklahoma City Zoo and a special T-shirt. They will also receive donor points.

Thoroughly Modern Millie tells the story of a small town girl\, Millie Dillmount\, who comes to New York City to marry for money instead of love\, a thoroughly modern aim in 1922. It’s a New York full of intrigue and jazz – a time when women were entering the workforce and the rules of love and social behavior were changing forever. Millie soon begins to take delight in the flapper lifestyle but problems arise when she checks into a hotel owned by the leader of a white slavery ring in China. Filled with frisky flappers\, dashing leading men and a dragon-lady villainess that audiences love to hate\, Thoroughly Modern Millie is a perfectly constructed evening of madcap merriment. Thoroughly Modern Millie Book by New Music by New Lyrics by Richard Morris and Jeanine Tesori Dick Scanlan Dick Scanlan Opening night for MacArthur High School’s presentation of the musical\, Thoroughly Modern Millie\, will be Thursday\, February 28\, 2013 at 7:00 p.m. in the MHS Auditorium. Performances will continue Friday\, March 1st at 7:00 p.m. and Saturday\, March 2nd at 1:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. Tickets are on sale now at MacArthur High School and through cast members and are $10.00 each. For further information call MacArthur High School at (580) 355-5280. Thoroughly Modern Millie is a Tony Award winning musical written by Richard Morris and Dick Scanlan with new music by Jeanine Tesori and Scanlan. The score is littered with contributions from composers James Van Heusen/Sammy Cahn\, Arthur Sullivan of Gilbert and Sullivan fame\, Tchaikovsky and Victor Herbert\, to name a few. The rousing\, jazz inspired music will transport you to the roaring 20’s! Seventeen of the forty cast members are Seniors at MHS and have been a part of MacArthur’s memorable musicals since they were freshmen. Annie Get Your Gun\, Scooge\, Jekyll and Hyde and now Thoroughly Modern Millie have stretched these talented young performers from the depths of darkness and despair in Jekyll and Hyde\, a sharp shootin’ love story in Annie Get Your Gun\, perceptive ghost stories in Scrooge and to the heights of musical comedy in “Millie”. Don’t miss this evening of sheer entertainment! Call (580) 355-5280 for tickets today.
