Randall Archibald, best known by the stage name "Randy Rampage" and for his work with thrash battalion Annihilator and hardcore punk outfit D.O.A., both from Canada, has passed away at the age of 58.

The news broke earlier today (Aug. 15) on the Facebook page for the punk documentary Bloodied But Unbowed with a message that read, "Tonight sometime after 7PM Randy Rampage left us to reign in the heavens. A punk legend has moved on. And because he shared himself with you, please share a moment and think of Randy Desmond Archibald aka Rampage. We love you Randy."

Randy Rampage was one of the founding members of the influential D.O.A. alongside drummer Chuck Biscuits, who later would go on to play with Danzig, Samhain, The Circle Jerks, Social Distortion and Black Flag. Rampage played bass during his three stints with D.O.A. and appeared on early albums from the group like Something Better Change and Hardcore '81. Rampage also enjoyed two incredible brief but worthy runs as the frontman for Annihilator with his sneering vocal presence heard on their Alice in Hell  1988 debut as well as 1999's Criteria for a Black Widow.

The rocker was involved in a number of other projects as well, including Stress Factor 9, Fake it Big Time, Ground Zero, Iron Gypsy, Requiem, Riff Raff and The 45s.
