Hungover, tired and generally bummed out about the ending to last night's game? Well, Fall Out Boy to the rescue! It's no big shock that FOB have confirmed their much-rumored reunion, but who expected a brand-new comeback single (complete with video, which you can check out below) the morning following the Super Bowl? Certainly not us, and let us tell you, we're beside ourselves with excitement!

A press release that arrived in our inbox minutes ago explains all the good news: "Fall Out Boy finally puts an end to years of rumors and speculation, with the official announcement today from their hometown of Chicago that the band has returned and will globally launch their new single -- 'My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)' -- today at iTunes."

If nothing else, the song (which you can listen to below) reminds of how much we missed those oh-so-ridiculously-long FOB titles, many of which were filled with bad puns. And the video stars rapper 2 Chainz, which suggests the group has garnered some street cred during its absence.

'My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)' is the lead single from 'Save Rock and Roll,' which drops May 7. That date, the press release tells us, is the tenth anniversary of Fall Out Boy’s full-length debut, 2003's 'Take This To Your Grave,' and pre-orders are available at the group's website.

Fall Out Boy celebrate the big news with a string of three one-night-only club shows this week, starting tonight (Feb. 4) at the tiny Subterranean in Chicago, then continuing to the even smaller and actually subterranean Webster Hall Studio in New York City tomorrow and ending at the tiny and famous Roxy Theatre in Los Angeles on Thursday. Meanwhile, the Save Rock and Roll U.S. tour kicks off May 14 in Milwaukee, Wisc., with additional dates to be announced.
