Fans Petition for Modern Warfare 2 Remastered

What's better than one yearly release? Two yearly releases!

Ok, so maybe Activision isn't really doing that, but fans right now are petitioning for a remastered edition of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 for the next gen gaming consoles.

Modern Warfare 2 was one of the best multiplayer experiences for the Call of Duty franchise. It's no surprise that fans want to bring that back especially since the Xbox One and PS4 are not backwards compatible and some gamers sold their 360s and PS3s to make way for the new systems.

The petition is on change.org and so far has gathered over 100,000 signatures. Would you want Activision to remaster Modern Warfare 2, maybe even bring the entire trilogy to next gen systems remastered?

At this time, neither Activision or Infinity Ward (the developers of the Modern Warfare trilogy) has made an comment to the petition.
