'Fast and Furious 6' hasn't even hit theaters yet and fans are already revving up for 'Fast and Furious 7.' But can you imagine such a thing without one of the primary characters? Say, The Rock?

First off, we won't try to blow this out of proportion here -- Following an uproarious reaction from fans at a screening of 'Fast 6,' Vin Diesel stated that production on 'Fast and Furious 7' will begin this summer in LA. (Remember this?) This is assuming, of course, the creative team, including the new director James Wan, can get themselves together for that time. However, 'Fast and Furious' mainstay Dwayne Johnson already can't swing it.

Speaking with Collider about a potential summer start date, he said:

It’s not possible for me because I’m shooting 'Hercules' this summer starting in 6 weeks in Budapest, so, possible for them I’m not too sure. I haven’t heard anything about that and I’m pretty sure I would have gotten a phone call pretty early in the morning if that was the real plan. Not quite too sure though.

If you're thinking The Rock could be cut from the franchise altogether, don't freak out...yet. Remember that a 'Fast and Furious' spinoff centered on Hobbs is already in the works? Plus, The Rock is such an integral and fan-favorite player in the franchise, and, if anything, we're guessing Universal will probably work around his schedule. That said, don't say we didn't warn you if the unthinkable happens.

In the meantime, here's the latest 'Fast and Furious 6' poster featuring The Rock's Hobbs to help take your mind off things:

'Fast and Furious 6' hits theaters May 24, while 'Hercules' starts filming this year with a premiere goal for August 8, 2014.
