If you planning on heading to the Lawton Freedom Festival this weekend at Elmer Thomas Park, but you still want to buy your own fireworks, be careful not to set them off in Lawton, at Lake Lawtonka or at Lake Ellsworth. Lawton Police tell us they will be issuing citations to anyone letting off fireworks within city limits, and the price is steep; a mandatory court date and a fine up to $776 and/or 60 days in jail.

Some towns and cities in southwest Oklahoma do allow personal fireworks, but some do not. We put together list of towns, cities and counties to show you where fireworks are allowed (or not allowed) and where some displays will be held.
