Five Finger Death Punch Announce New Release Date for Upcoming Album
Five Finger Death Punch fans are going to have to wait a tad bit longer for the band’s forthcoming album, as the release date has been pushed back one week.
The new album, ‘The Wrong Side of Heaven and the Righteous Side of Hell, Volume 1’ was originally set to drop on July 23, but will now be unleashed on July 30. 'Volume 2' of the double-album release will arrive in the fall.
Five Finger Death Punch recently unleashed ‘Lift Me Up’ as the lead single from the 'Volume 1.' The track includes guest vocals from metal legend Rob Halford of Judas Priest. In a recent interview with Full Metal Jackie, Halford shared his thoughts about the band by saying, “We just bonded right away and they just have their hearts in the right place, I love them for that and I love them for the fact that they believe in themselves a thousand percent and not letting anybody get in their way.”
Halford also joined the band onstage to perform the single at this year’s Golden Gods awards. While on the black carpet, we caught up with guitarist Zoltan Bathory who spoke about the mindset of the band and abundance of new material. “It was a situation where we had so much material and we were so happy with what we recorded. It’s like what are you going to leave off of the record?”
