Last week festival goers at the 59th annual Conejo Valley Days in Thousand Oaks, CA. got the surprise of a lifetime! Dave Grohl and fellow Foo Fighter drummer Taylor Hawkins along with Chris Shiflet and Rami Jaffe showed up to play the festival as Chevy Metal a 70's rock cover band that was started as a side project by Hawkins. They played 18 tunes and rocked the crowd with classic like: AC/DC- Let There Be Rock, Alice Copper- School's Out, The Knack- My Sharona and more!

It had to have been the concert of a lifetime for all those in attendance, to see Chevy Metal with Dave Grohl out front! As if we needed another reason to like Grohl, he's the man! This guy is a real stand out and true rock fan in a world filled with ego driven prima donnas. He's what you'd hope all rock bands and rock stars were like, but unfortunately aren't.
