Adele, Marcus Mumford of Mumford and Sons and Frank Ocean are among the artists Forbes magazine has named to its 2012 30 Under 30 music list, which, as the name suggests, compiles the brightest young stars under the age of 30 from the world of music. EDM DJs Skrillex and Avicii were among the other artists, producers, agents and music-focused web entrepreneurs who made the tally, one of several such 30 Under 30 lists featured in the latest issue of Forbes magazine.

"In each of 15 categories, ranging from technology to Hollywood to social entrepreneurs, Forbes editors and reporters worked with panels of expert judges to choose the field’s brightest stars under the age of 30," reads the article. "In sum they represent the entrepreneurial, creative and intellectual best of their generation. Individually, they are engaging, surprising and incredibly hardworking."

Adele, Mumford and Skrillex were all mentioned on last year's inaugural 30 Under 30 music list, which also included Florence Welch and Kings of Leon's Anthony Caleb Followill. Skrillex and Avicii, meanwhile, have been honored by Forbes elsewhere; both artists landed on the publication's Electronic Cash Kings list of the world's top-earning DJs earlier this year.
