Second only to Madonna regarding their sheer number of VMA appearances, Green Day delivered a high-energy performance of their hit song 'Let Yourself Go' tonight (Sept. 6) after a charming introduction by Emma Watson and Ezra Miller. Despite having fallen ill during the band’s recent trip to Italy, frontman Billie Joe Armstrong showed amazing signs of his recovery as he launched himself into the crowd and let the fans carry him at the end of the performance.

‘Let Yourself Go’ is the most recent single from the band’s album, '¡Uno!,' the first of three records in their forthcoming trilogy. The album is scheduled to hit stores on Sept. 25 via Reprise Records. The track was released on Sept. 5 on iTunes.

In July, the band shared a live video of the song that was filmed in Austin, Texas back in 2011. Other singles from Green Day’s upcoming release of '¡Uno!' include ‘Oh Love’ and ‘Kill the DJ.’

In other news, the band recently teamed up with Nokia and AT&T to launch a new online streaming service by the name of Nokia Music and is rumored to be announcing a kick-off performance to celebrate the launching.
