The eyes of soccer fans around the world are on Brazil as the World Cup 2014 gets under way. A new Budweiser World Cup commercial (watch above) features the Guns N' Roses song "Paradise City," some famous soccer players, UFC legend Anderson Silva and a cameo from none other than Axl Rose himself.

The theme of the ad is that the soccer players are rock stars. A band including players Gary Cahill (England), Samuel Eto'o (Cameroon) Maya Yoshida (Japan) and Hulk (Brazil) are onstage in a packed arena performing a rap version of 'Paradise City' with lyrics related to soccer.

As the commercial ends, Hulk throws a guitar pick into the crowd, where it is caught by Axl Rose, who is standing in the midst of the throng alongside some models. He uses the pick to open his Bud, and raises a toast to the band.

Guns N' Roses just wrapped up another residency in Las Vegas. Their 2012 stint in Vegas was turned into the 3D concert movie ‘Appetite for Democracy 3D: Live at the Hard Rock Casino – Las Vegas.’ It will be released on DVD and Blu-ray July 1, but before that, fans have a chance to see it in theaters. More than 100 cities will have theatrical screenings of the film on June 14.
